Principal's Message

Endy Elementary is the home of the Endy Redhawks where we S.O.A.R. to new heights!  Endy students ENCOURAGE OTHERS, NEVER GIVE UP, DO THEIR BEST AND YEARN TO LEARN.  The teachers and staff at Endy incorporate innovative teaching strategies, digital platforms and character education to ensure that students are growing in all areas. The compassion, commitment and dedication of the staff and teachers means that students at Endy are getting THE BEST every day. Endy is the proud home of the Dual Language Immersion Program in Stanly County Schools and was recently named a Model School for global education by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.  Our goal is that all students develop cultural awareness, competence and communication skills that will support their success after graduation.  Through outreach, technology, collaborative studies and innovative teaching, students will embrace a global awareness and increased global literacy.

As the principal of Endy Elementary School, I am so excited and honored to be a Redhawk.  The Endy Redhawk name carries a superb reputation that is not taken lightly.  I continue to be impressed with the involvement and support that is provided from the families and community.

As a principal, I continue to seek opportunities to grow as a professional educator and stay abreast of innovative teaching and ideas in education.  I currently serve as a North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Commissioner on the North Carolina Textbook Commission as well as a board member on the North Carolina Dual Language Immersion Advisory Board.  This allows me to collaborate with leaders from across the state and provide a voice for Stanly County at the state and national level level.  I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University, Master of Arts in Education: Educational Leadership K - 12 at Wingate University and a Dual Language Immersion Administration Certification from East Carolina University.  This is my sixteenth year in education and fifth year in Stanly County.  I have experience in education at all levels K - 12 but my passion is in the elementary schools.

My goal for Endy Elementary is to provide a safe and positive learning environment that fosters success.  Success will be achieved through high academic expectations, character education, student centered learning and enrichment through all disciplines.  I look forward to welcoming you on campus and continuing to push Endy to new heights!
