Battle of the Books
At Endy Elementary, Battle of the Books is more than just a reading competition. It is an opportunity for students to grow as readers, build friendships, and have fun through books. Fourth and fifth grade team members read a selected list of engaging books throughout the school year, meet regularly to discuss what they have read, and practice answering questions as they prepare for friendly competitions with other schools.
Our Battle of the Books team encourages students to think critically, work together, and discover new favorite authors and genres. Along the way, students develop confidence, strengthen their reading comprehension skills, and experience the excitement of being part of a team. We are proud of our Redhawk readers and the enthusiasm they bring to every practice and competition!
