Mrs. Honeycutt - Media Specialist

Welcome to my webpage! I am Mrs. Carrie Honeycutt. I have been teaching in elementary education since 2004 when I graduated from UNCC with my degree in Elementary Education. I spent most of my time as a 2nd grade teacher for 12 years in the Cabarrus County Schools system. I decided to take a career change as the Media Specialist for Endy and Millingport Elementary. I graduated from ECU in December of 2019 with my Masters in Library and Information Science.  I have a high passion for knowledge and creativity and the Library lends way for that without much restrictions. I want your student to embrace the idea that knowledge found in books is powerful and that the library is a hub for multiple facets of learning. Along with being a professional and a Master level teacher, I am a mother to two children who keep me on my toes and inspire me in my career. I also assist with operating a cooking business feeding off my passion of teaching and food. I thoroughly enjoy running to work off all those calories due to my passion for food. I look forward to working each day with your children and watching them become the genius they are meant to be.
